CHRISTIAN ERNHEDE ELECTED NEW API-IPA VICE-PRESIDENT

The general assembly of the International Press Association API-IPA today elected Swedish journalist Christian Ernhede, senior correspondent for ENDS (Environmental Data Services), and an API member since 2019, as vice-president. Christian succeeds Thomas A. Friedrich who stepped down as of 1 July.

As a new vice-president, Christian will take up his duties alongside Euractiv’s health journalist Catherine Feore, herself elected vice-president in July 2023, and president Dafydd ab Iago. Christian is a former lawyer. And as a Swede, he also intends to raise the profile of API-IPA amongst Nordic journalists.

The assembly also elected Quentin Dickinson, longtime correspondent for French Radio, as a freely elected member of the API council. Quentin is the last still active founding father of API, and has been a member continuously since 1975.
