It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing away in Rome, after a long illness, of Mirella Pagnanelli (69), former correspondent in Brussels for the Italian Agenzia Italia (AGI).
Mirella started her media career for the Thomson Financial agency, before tranferring to AGI.
She was married to Franco Papitto, longtime Italian correspondent in Brussels mainly for La Repubblica (from 1973-2006).
API sends its sincere condolences to Mirella’s family and friends.
She leaves two children, Alessandra and Enrico. Mirella will be buried this Saturday, 23 January, from the church of Pierosara in Genga (Ancona).
