The permanent representative of Estonia to the EU, Ms Kaja Tael, was the special guest of a very well attended API Hour this morning in the Residence Palace.
Ms Tael gave an overview of the priorities of the upcoming Estonian presidency of the Council of the European Union and answered in much detail questions from the journalists present. Starting on July 1st Estonia will hold the six month long rotating EU presidency for the first time since becoming an EU-member in 2004.
The API Hour – one of a series of briefings on current EU affairs – was moderated by API Bureau member and former president Michael Stabenow.
